Detailed Design Development

Once appropriate material handling concepts have been selected, Logistics Engineering develops conceptual facility layouts that depict the building and the recommended equipment concepts. These conceptual layouts provide a unique opportunity to “walk through” the facility and evaluate the recommended material handling systems.

Functional specifications for all areas of the project including building and material handling equipment are then prepared. These functional specifications are then compiled as Requests for Proposals (RFP's) and sent to experienced vendors. The returned bids are evaluated and recommendations are made to your company for each component of the project based on vendor experience, past performance, financial strength, etc.
